Carol Linnane's love for singing and performing has been with her for almost her entire life. With her earliest performances singing around family BBQs, school plays, concerts and talent quests, it wasn't until 1987 that Carol sought assistance from noted Shoalhaven performer Tony Taunton for singing lessons. After only eight weeks Carol was impressed with how much Tony had taught her and felt that this was the first positive step toward her career in music rather than just a much loved hobby.

When Carol finally settled back in the area after extensive touring down and around the bottom end of Australia she met up with the guys from 'The Great Wall' with the idea of singing backing vocals in the band. However, rock 'n roll being the business that it is the band members all went their own way soon after Carol joined.

Still anxious to perform, Carol advertised in a local paper for a guitarist and amongst the calls she received was one from Dave Girdlestone. After only a few rehearsals 'Heart & Soul' Duo was road-ready and began entertaining audiences with their own brand of rock n roll and classic ballads to popular acclaim. After two years performing in most clubs and hotels on the South Coast as well as entering several talent quests (and winning strong places) the enjoyment had to come to an end to allow Carol to prepare for the imminent birth of her first child.

Since having her children, Carol has returned to the club and hotel circuit with her solo repertoire and is now a very accomplished self-contained act.

Carol has established herself as a performer in her own right. With a talented, highly-polished performance suitable for most audiences who enjoy listening to a very delightful female vocalist.
