Clockwise Duo

ClockwiseMike & Mark from Clockwise are seasoned musicians, offering a professional & friendly show with a huge list of songs spanning from the 50’s forward, the product of years of playing in bands.

… With a high level of musicianship, excellent quality equipment including a Bose PA system, high quality backing tracks, and a huge song list to choose from, the boys can entertain any crowd.

Capable of playing with or without backing tracks, and not relying on the backing tracks but actually playing their instruments, Mike & Mark have a philosophy of playing songs that people want to hear, and playing them well.

Growing up as children of the 80’s, and very close in age, both of them have a love of classic music from the birth of rock & roll onward – after all, a great song is a great song!

Vocals are a key to putting on a good show, and both Mike & Mark share lead vocals. Both have their vocal strengths, and work to them. Voices that blend well are the key to good harmonies, and the boys are fortunate to have that attribute.

Clockwise DuoMike Ireland (Guitar/Vocals): A late starter in a musical sense, Mike has certainly made up for lost time! An accomplished guitarist and excellent vocalist, his abilities really add a classy point of difference to Clockwise’s sound.

Hailing originally from the small town of Mio, Michigan in the USA, Mike is now a permanent resident of Australia, and added his talents to local covers band Double Cross for 6 Years, before joining one of the Illawarra’s hottest bands, The Revheads, in 2013.

Mike has spent considerable time & effort creating & refining the backing tracks to a very high standard.

Mark Wallis (Vocals/Guitar): Inspired at age 6 by a family friend, Mark decided that he wanted to sing & play the guitar. Music has been a defining part of his life ever since. Playing in bands from the age of 15, Mark cut his teeth in the then vibrant music scene on the NSW/Victorian border, with gigs regular & plentiful, and the “road miles” were clocked up.

Recording 2 albums of original material at that time also led to support spots with some major acts such as INXS, Jimmy Barnes & significantly one of his musical heroes, Paul Kelly.

After some time out of the industry, Mark’s most recent foray has been playing with 50’s Rock’n’Roll bands Jive Katz, and the Rockin’ Heartbeats on the Sydney dance scene, probably proving his claim that he was born a generation too late!

We cover classic Rock & Roll from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, some 80’s, a few 90’s, not many 00’s. 🙂

We can play your function with or without our personally customized backing tracks – whatever your preference. We have a choice of large or small BOSE P.A. systems that have a lot of kick if needed and don’t take up too much room.

Our song list is 150+ at the moment and grows a little more each month. We’ll never stop adding songs to keep it fresh and enjoyable.
