Relive the performances, the music and the charm that is Engelbert Humperdink in The Engelbert Show featuring the wonderful talents of Mr Buddy Paris.

Just like Engelbert, Buddy hails from the same proud Anglo-Indian community in Madras, Southern India. Buddy's show business career commenced there as a wedding singer, performing at dances and the like, before travelling throughout the Middle East, where he successfully toured and performed for three years.

Migrating to Australia in 1986, Buddy Paris played with several bands, performing very popular shows at restaurant and party venues. He also played many clubs as a one-man band to great acclaim.

Buddy decided then put all his efforts into his true love as a cabaret singer. Immediately finding success on the Sydney club circuit, he has since guest starred at major charity functions and performed live on the Seven Network. As a testimony to his popularity, Buddy has been asked to give repeat performances at many of these venues.

Buddy Paris commands a special a relationship with his audience. Whether he's leading the crowd in a familiar chorus, or giving away flowers to women in the audience, let his voice, his talent and his stage presence bring ESSENTIALLY ENGELBERT to you.

Buddy was privileged to personally meet Engelbert on Dec 13 2003 backstage after his recent concert at the Lyric Theatre. Buddy had a heart to heart chat with him and now Engelbert is aware that buddy is his ardent fan, he is also aware of the ESSENTIALLY ENGELBERT production show.

As a testimony to this meeting Buddy took a photograph with Engelbert. Buddy says he found Engelbert to be extremely warm, friendly and down to earth. He also says that his meeting with Engelbert was the greatest day of his life.

Buddy’s show business career began in India, where he performed at weddings and dances. Buddy later travelled to the Middle East where he lived and worked for three years continuing to perform successfully. In 1986 Buddy migrated to Australia where he joined a band and continued his singing career, soon becoming popular at weddings, dances, parties and restaurants.

Later Buddy decided to give up bands and become a Cabaret Singer in which he excelled. Buddy’s performance reflected on the undivided attention he received from his audience and the numerous appearances at leading Sydney Clubs, including: Cabra-Vale RSL, Canterbury Leagues Club, Manly Leagues Club, Marrickville RSL, North Sydney Leagues, Parramatta Leagues Club, Penrith RSL, Petersham RSL, Punchbowl RSL, Riverwood Legions Club, Ryde Eastwood Leagues, St. George Leagues Club, Padstow Bowling Club, Mosman RSL, Cronulla RSL, Cronulla Bowling and many more.

Besides Cabaret singing, which is hard to come by these days due to budgeting in clubs and other venues, Buddy has excelled as a One-Man-Band. He uses Midi sequences along with Guitar and Vocal Harmoniser. The Vocal Harmoniser splits the singer’s voice into one or two-part harmony. This adds a new dimension to the singing, which is used in some choruses and occasionally in verses of songs. His exceptional performance, without doubt, will delight any party with ballads and uptempo hits mainly from the 60s & 70s.
