Wendee & Derek from Inaflight have finally decided to return to us here in Australia following an absence of quite a few years where they returned home to their native home of New Zealand.

They originally defected from 'The Land Of the Long White Cloud' in our Bicentennial year of 1988 to perform with Derek's brother Brian ( bass player of note) and Neil Williamson (on drums) in a showband on South Mole Island in the beautiful Whistundays.

After a year on the island the opportunity presented for them to re-locate to Wollongong where Wendee had family. Derek was accepted into the Conservatorium of Music at Wollongong Uni.

About this same time, they answered an advertisement for musicians to form a band and the new 'Jive House Band' was formed with Ted & Linda Atkinson and then neil was also dragged from the paradise of Queensland to join them. This five piece band had quite an impact on the South Coast circuit for some time.

After several months with the band, Wendee & Derek decided to form the duo and Inaflight was born. They have consistently wworked on the South Coast and Highlands and to the highest acclaim.

With the brilliant range and sultry tones of Wendee's voice blending passionately with the stinging guitar work from Derek, there is no audience who could remain untouched by the sounds of Inaflight.
