 INERTIA
are a young, energetic three piece band based in the
South Coast of NSW. Covering a dynamic range of music
including Funk, Rock, Reggae, Blues, RnB and Jazz,
Inertia are set to cater for any event from pub gigs to
weddings, corporate events and parties.
Lead singer and guitarist, Tony Pearce's guitar
influences range from Joe Satriani to Joe Pesci, with
Muse, Powderfinger, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and The
Butterfly Effect as singing influences.
Bass player and vocalist, John Gwilliam played in jazz
bands before discovering funk, soul and reggae
influences. Cutting his teeth on the Double Bass, later
opting for the bass guitar led him to develop an
elaborate slap/strum playing style in the likes of
Stanley Clarke and Louis Johnson.
John features on various records with local and distant
artists as a session player, and also teaches private
students.
Drummer and vocalist, Ben Lewis has been playing drums
for many years starting out as a house drummer for a
country and western club. With influences ranging from
the Beatles to Metallica he has become an all round
drummer.
