The legendary career of Lonnie Lee started with Lonnie's first hit in 1959 that he wrote with Johnny O'Keefe. Today with eight National number one hits to his credit, Lonnie is still going strong. As well as singing his own GOLD hits such as Starlight Starbright, Yes Indeed I Do and I Found A New Love, Lonnie includes many of the greatest classics of rock'n'roll music in his own unique style.

Australia's own Lonnie Lee and the Leemen in the Hail Rock'n'roll show is one of the most colourful, fast paced shows. With eight National number one hits to his credit, Lonnie is still going strong. As well as singing his own GOLD hits such as Starlight Starbright, Yes Indeed I Do and I Found A New Love, Lonnie includes many of the greatest classics of rock'n'roll music in his own unique style. The Leeman have been with Lonnie for a long time now, and are exceptional musicians in their own right while accompanying Lonnie as he plays guitar and thumping Jerry Lee Lewis piano.

In 1992 Lonnie was the recording star to have his photo in the "Lets Celebrate 60 years of the ABC" display. He was also chosen to represent the 50's era in the AusMusic Day Launch in 1992 and other major festivals around Australia. Lonnie still performs in the USA each year. Recently he won the 'The Best Performer of the 1997 Wintersun'. The most prestigious award of the Wintersun Festival especially as it was a people voted award not a committee award.
