Mark Dabin Solo Musician

Mark Dabin

Mark is a singer and fingerstyle guitarist from Kiama. NSW.

He plays over 160 shows each year including weddings, private functions and venues.

If you’re like him and believe the philosophy of “Less is more”.

You might love his acoustic interpretations of cover songs and original material.

He performs acoustic groove music live with a huge song list of classic and contemporary acoustic covers. He has a love of Aussie rock songs played in an acoustic style and this is reflected in his song lists.

My sound is organic and real with vocals, acoustic guitar and foot percussion played through a high quality Bose sound system with lighting.

I often play as a duo accompanied by Michael on a reduced drum/percussion kit. Adding dynamic visuals and a rhythmic texture for people who love to dance.

Mark began performing live in the late 1980’s playing funk bass in various working cover/original bands, then moving to acoustic and electric guitar in 1999. He travelled playing many venues and corporate functions as far North as Hamilton Island, and South as Tasmania.

Around 2005 he took a break from live work to concentrate on teaching music, honing my guitar skills and writing original songs. In Dec 2010 this culminated in the formation of “The Humbletones” project and the release of his debut album “Humble Beginnings”. Which was recorded and mastered in his home studio.

Getting the itch to play live again in 2011. He began working live in a duo with a female singer and promoting and building his solo show. This has grown to playing over 160 shows each year and being in demand to play many venues on the South Coast and Sydney as a solo artist and as a duo with his percussionist Michael.
