Phil Walker – Guitarist
Phil has been playing up and down the east coast of NSW for the last twelve years. Working hard in a wide variety of genres he has found himself onstage performing furious styles of rockabilly, two step gypsy punk, balls to the wall rock and dirty blues and even the occasional alt country, or electronic driven jazz ensemble.

In some of his original line ups he has supported national acts up and down the coast, including artists such as Eskimo Joe, Sneaky Sound System, Ben Salter, The Quarry Mountain Dead Rats, The Gin Club, Howling Steam Train, Claude Hay and many more. He is just as comfortable onstage or working in the studio and has clocked 10 studio albums as a session player. He’s a big boy. With a big sound and he has a command of the guitar that is decades older than he looks.

Andrew Ferguson: Bass Guitar/vocals
Andrew has always had a passion for music from a young age, having a musical upbringing. At the age of 12 Andrew was introduced to the bass guitar by his father and hasn’t looked back.
Andrew taught himself spending countless hours practising in the bedroom listening to CD’s (and tapes) and developed his own unique style. Putting it to use in a highschool band, 4play, which fed his desire to be in a band. That led him to him joining the band Identity Krisis where he first met Mat Crawford (current drummer of Purple Envy) which would forge an unstoppable and tight rhythm section.
With influences from Flea (RHCP) to Fat Mike (NoFX) Andrew can play a variety of styles on the bass which contributes well in this current band, along with his versatile harmonies makes the dynamic sound that is Purple Envy

Mat Crawford: Drums/vocals
Got his first drum kit when he was 13 and played on and off before getting serious around 19 years old. Mat is self-taught and plays from the hip with influences stretching from Liberty De Vito (Billy Joel) to Lars Ulrich (Metallica) Dave Grohl (Nirvana FooFighters) and Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac)
Mat lives to play live and loves the stage and in full flight is sure to turn a few heads.
He cannot read music and barely ever plays any one song the same way twice but constantly listening and playing by his finely tuned ears has helped to expand his style and passion for music.
As a working drummer for the past 10 years with lead vocalist Shell Thorpe (Apergy, Unify, Dirty Monty) and before that a garage band with bassist Andrew “Fergs” Ferguson (Identity Krisis and Unify) the combination formed with guitarist Benjamin “Benny Boy” Lewis has matured to what they are today, Purple Envy

Shell Thorpe: Lead Vocals
Shell started singing over 20 years ago in Karaoke and talent quests and it soon become apparent her niche was for singing rock. With strong vocals that will surprise most she will captivate audiences with her rock chick sound.
She has previously sung in bands such as Apergy (with Mat Crawford) and Unify (Mat Crawford and Andrew Ferguson) and then Dirty Monty (Mat Crawford, Andrew Fergusons and Ben Lewis)
Shell is influenced by powerful female artists such as Pink, Christina Amphlett and Chrissie Hynde but can also manage to rock out the male vocals like Jimmy Barnes, Michael Hutchence and John Fogerty.
Now days sees Shell fronting the stage with an energetic South Coast rock covers band Purple Envy. Lending her vocal power to some of the most classic rock songs from the past 40 years to now.
