Former
singer/songwriter for the Sydney based band 'Nevergrips',
Ricky Lynch has dedicated the last 4 years of his career
working on a solo performance driven by a very emotional
'raw Acoustic' sound.
Ricky's music is superbly delivered minus any backing
track, It's just him, the guitar & a microphone
combined with projecting a tremendous amount of energy
into his audience. At 26 years old his vocal range
extends from the heart-felt sounds of Cat Stevens to the
excitement of Meatloaf & all consistently performed
with every ounce of his energy.
Recognition of his talent is his Tanglewood Guitar
endorsement from distributors National Music and ongoing
support from Kiama
Music Centre.
Tanglewoods faith in Ricky is an ideal relationship
seeing two emerging names take each other to greater
heights.
Ricky took delivery of his new guitar in July 2005 at
Kiama Music Centre with National Music Territory Manager
delighted to be instrumental in this endorsement. Ricky
says "this instrument is beautifully made and sounds
truly amazing, I couldnt be happier."
As
a curly red-headed, freckly youngster Ricky astounded
family & friends with all types of performances,
including many magic tricks that went horribly wrong, but
this never phased him, he was always keen to perform
which lead to a position as front-man for Nevergrips.
Ricky's hair got darker, Nevergrips grew apart &
things have never looked brighter for him.... he is
clearly a solo artist with the ability to involve himself
fully in his audience & be one with them.
Ricky has now teamed up with two very talented musicians.
Grant O'Brien (Drums) and Darren Moore (Bass Guitar).
Together they produce a very unique sound focusing mainly
on the vocal talent that will be remembered long after
the show.
Grant O'Brien, A very talented drummer from southwestern
Sydney region, at just 18 years old, he has accomplished
his goal of breaking into the industry & making heads
turn. You might even be lucky enough to see him pick up a
guitar & jam out with the boys... who said drummers
weren't musicians?
Darren
Moore, Having a lot to offer with his experience in the
industry, Darren has a unique ability to spiritually
motivate the group. At 30 he has a complex understanding
of just about all aspects of music which certainly shows
in his bass guitar technique. Also a very talented
pianist, Darren is the missing link that Ricky &
Grant have been searching for for some time.
he Trio's growing list of original material that they
love to incorporate into the show, will be recorded &
available over the next few months. All who hear their
work come to understand why they are on an upward climb
to success in the Aussie music industry.
Ricky
Lynch and his band
is the band to watch for on the upward climb of the
musical ladder. If passion, hard work, commitment and
talent account for anything in this industry they are
poised for success.
They cover a huge variety of songs from 70's 80's 90's
& now stretching from classics by 'John Denver' to
the up-beat of 'Counting Crows'. This is definitely the
sort of entertainment enjoyed by all ages.
Other artists work covered by Ricky Lynch are:
America ~ Eagles ~ Dire Straits ~ Creedence ~ Crowded
House ~ Guns & Roses ~ Midnight Oil ~ Greenday ~
Pearl Jam ~ Matchbox 20 ~ Powder Finger ~ and many
more.
