that's what Shakey Jake is all about. No fuss good-time
contemporary & classic rock & roll. Shakey Jake
are Scott Hartnett - vocals/guitar, Kim Beckman -
guitar/backing vocals, Ron McLaughlan - bass/backing
vocals, Geoff Brown - drums.
The four members of Shakey Jake have extensive experience
- both in Australia & overseas - across a variety of
music genres. Shakey Jake delivers a strong, identifiable
sound to entertain audiences everywhere.
A lack of pretension and a desire to entertain has seen
the band include some of the 'old standards' in its
repertoire. Songs such as Roadhouse Blues and 500 Miles
might not be ‘cool’ for some, but while the
majority of punters keep asking for them, Shakey Jake
will keep playing them. And if ‘The Gambler’ is
requested written on a $50 note Shakey Jake will even
play that.
As well, the band members keep an ear on what is getting
radio airplay to ensure that the repertoire stays fresh
and current. Throw in a solid PA and lights and Shakey
Jake is a great entertainment option for any pub, club or
function.
