Stonepony

Mathew Lloyd - Stonepony is considered by many to be the one of the hardest working underground musicans in South East NSW. The break through for Mathew and Stonepony as original artist came when Triple J Unearthed the Bega/Cooma District. Matt Lloyd has spent the last few months putting together a new STONEPONY line-up.

Meanwhile the Posh Urban Skiffle CD continues to gain both critical and public attention in places as distant as Spain, Germany and the U.S.A. But it is the new line-up that Matt’s attention has been focused on. Allan Turnball has more than 20 years experience in the music business. His melodic guitar work and fine vocals have made him a well known and respected muso in the South-east corner of N.S.W. Scott Abraham’s ability to finesse any bass line makes him a muso to watch, and his reputation is sure to grow in bass playing circles. Robert Hampshire is described by some as a drummer’s drummer. He has a feel that many other players would die for. Of course, Matt Lloyd is there singing his heart out and playing the oddtasty guitar bit.

So with a new album and songs soon to be heard on U.S. radio, the future looks good for this veteran rock band. Some of the hair may be greying and a few bones creaking now and again ... but still, you will have to go a long way to be rocked any better than sharing an evening with STONEPONY.

 STONEPONY's CD POSH URBAN SKIFFLE

Matthew Lloyd Band has released their next album .

The band have been satisfying the venues and patrons with an equally good stage presence ensuring sales of the album at every gig. It's great to see a band from the remote area of the Snowy Mountains making a name for themselves in the highly competitive music world.
